Graduated from East China Normal University in July 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry; was assigned to Zhejiang Chinese Medical University as an instructor for the Department of Chinese Herbology the moment after graduation; and then took up a doctor’s program in Chinese Herbolody in Zhejiang Chinese Medical University and graduated in September 2006 with a Doctor of Medicine;

Currently serves as vice president and deputy party secretary of the No.2 Hospital Affiliated to ZJ CMU (i.e. School of Clinical Medicine - II), professor of Chinese Herbology, and doctoral supervisor;

Is one of Young and Middle-aged Subject Leaders in Colleges and Universities in Zhejiang Province and of Tier-2 Target Trainees of Zhejiang New Century “151” Talent Program, deputy director of Zhejiang Province Association of TCM Chinese Herbology Subcommittee, and standing member of ZJP ATCM Diabetes Subcommittee;

Within the 24 years of teaching and clinical experience in Chinese herbology, has chaired 3 national, provincial and ministerial projects issued respectively by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province and Science Technology Department of Zhejiang Province, as well as 2 Chinese medicine modernization projects of Zhejiang Province and another 5 projects from Education Department and Health Bureau of Zhejiang Province, with a research fund totaling to RMB 2.20 million;

Has compiled the MoH “11^thFive-Year” Planning Textbook titled Medical Commodity Science as chief editor and published more than 30 academic papers on influential journals;

These researches won one 2^ndprize for National Teaching Achievement and two 2^ndprizes and 2 3^rdprizes for Zhejiang Province Sci-Tech Progress in the Field of TCM, and gained 1 national utility patent.
