The university has set up 1 National TCM Clinical Research Center, 3 SATCM(the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine) key laboratories, and 1 drug clinical trial body(adaptable to 12 majors) of the State Food and Drug Administration(SFDA). Supported by SATCM, the university also has 10 Class 3 laboratories for Chinese medicine study, and 2 provincial public technologically supporting platforms. The university shares 16 SATCM key Specialty and Tertiary Disease Centers, and also 31 provincial key Specialty and Tertiary Disease Centers.
The university publishes two kinds of school-sponsored academic journals, including "Journal of Zhejiang University of Chinese Medicine", one of the earliest Chinese academic journals issued to the world of over 20 foreign countries and areas, has been included in US "Chemical Abstracts" and other well-known international retrieval systems.
