Graduated from Zhejiang University as a master of medicine, and currently serves as assistant to the dean of School of Pharmacy, ZJ CMU, deputy director of Pharmacy Experimental and Teaching Center, director of Chinese Medicine Resources Appraisal Department;

Is a high-level target trainee in Zhejiang health system, responsible person of “Quality and Quality Evaluation of Chinese Medicine Germplasm Resources” in a provincial college and university key laboratory, and responsible person of Zhejiang College and University Priority Specialty/Discipline “Science of Chinese Medicine Resources”;

I. MAIN RESEARCH DIRECTION: Chinese medicine quality evaluation and resource exploitation; The research of preventing and treating brain and nervous system diseases with Chinese medicine;

II. PERFORMANCE:

1. By using MCAO model to screen active constituents out of the Chinese medicine effective for cerebral ischemia, developed the Chinese medicine “GQY” for neuro-protection in case of cerebral ischemia;

2. By making use of CMS depression rats, developed the antidepressant drug “SYJN” and the active constituent (HPF) in Chinese medicine, and by deploying methods including high-performance liquid-electrochemistry, immunohistochemistry, immunoblotting, and RT-PCR, explored the antidepressant mechanism of HPF and “SYJN”;

3. For a national category-I new drug - ICCB, carried out in-depth development with respect to its role in preventing and treating Alzheimer;

4. Won the Zhejiang Provincial Government 2^ndand 3^rdprizes for Sci-tech Progress, developed 2 new medicine, and obtained 3 national patents for invention;

5. In recent three years, has published more than 20 papers on influential journals at home and abroad, 5 of which are cited by SCI;

6. In recent three years, has completed the compilation of 5 textbooks as either chief editor or assistant editor;

III. PROJECTS/TASKS IN PROGRESS

As head and a principal member, is undertaking a number of national, provincial, and ministerial tasks, including 1 National 973 Program task, 1 MoH Science Research Foundation task, 5 task from Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, 1 task from Zhejiang Important Sci-Tech Specialties Priority Projects, and 2 tasks from Priority Projects for Sci-Tech Department of Zhejiang Province.
