Yaokang XIONG, Communist Party member, professor, doctoral supervisor, post-doctoral co-mentor, postgraduate supervisor, now serves as deputy party secretary of ZJ CMU and director of the Department of Chinese Medicine Resources Research of the university;

Graduated from the Department of Biology, Zhejiang University (previously Hangzhou College) in July 1982, then taught in Zhejiang A&F University between July 1982 and March 1986, and shifted to Zhejiang Chinese Medical University from March 1986, where he’s been engaged in the research regarding the development and exploitation of Chinese medicine resources;

Promoted to the position of professor in 1999, currently is a target trainee of Zhejiang “151” Talent Program, Star of Hope in the Field of Zhejiang Traditional Chinese Medicine, winner of the Young Sci-Tech Talent Training Fund granted by Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, priority funding target among Young and Middle-aged Academic Leaders in Colleges and Universities in Zhejiang Province, member of the board of Zhejiang Province Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, member of the review panel for Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, and one of Young and Middle-aged Academic Leaders in Colleges and Universities in Zhejiang Province;

Has chaired more than 20 research tasks and projects issued by National MoE Priority Sci-Tech Projects Program, Young Sci-Tech Talent Training Fund under the Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, the Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, and the Sci-Tech Program of Science Technology Department of Zhejiang Province, and the Sci-Tech Program of Zhejiang Provincial Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine;

Has published a dozen of works, of which 3 were compiled as chief editor and 6 as assistant editor;

Has published more than 60 academic papers;

Has achieved two 2^ndprizes and two 3^rdprizes for Sci-Tech Progress from the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, two 1^stprizes for Zhejiang Sci-Tech Innovation in the Field of TCM, one 2^ndprize for Sci-Tech Progress from the Education Department of Zhejiang Province, two 2^ndprizes and three 3^rdprizes for Sci-tech Progress in the Field of Medicine and Pharmacy, and two titles of National Excellent Academic Thesis;

Has trained 8 doctors and now is mentoring 5 doctoral candidates.
