Graduated from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a doctor’s degree; in 2006, was listed into Tier-2 Target Trainees of Zhejiang 151 Talent Program, Tier-1 Target Trainees of Wenzhou New Century 551 Talent Scheme; in 2009, was promoted to the position of pharmacology researcher; in 2010, was listed into Tier-1 Target Trainees of Zhejiang 151 Talent Program and Zhejiang Health System High-level Innovative Talent Program;

From 2004 till now, has served and/or is serving as deputy director of Chinese Medicine Research Institute of Wenzhou Medical University, director of Chinese Medicine Preparation Research Center of National Chinese Medicine Modernization Sci-Tech Zhejiang Industrial Base, director of Zhejiang Province South-Zhejiang Specialty Chinese Medicine Key Laboratory, and responsible person of master station for Chinese Medicine Pharmacology Specialty under the Chinese Herbology master degree station;

Is mainly engaged in pharmacology of cardiovascular TCM and the development of new products;

Has chaired a national major new drug innovation/preparation project, NSFC tasks, the Yangtze River Delta Joint Development Project, Zhejiang Province Economic and Trade Commission Priority Project, Zhejiang Province Chinese Medicine Important Project, and son on; and has taken charge of another more than 10 projects and tasks as the second chief, including those from national 10^thFive-Year Plan 863 scheme, national 973 scheme, NSFC priority research program, national major new drug innovation and preparation specialty, with a research fund totaling to RMB 10 million;

Has gained a 2^ndprize for national sci-tech progress, three 1^stprizes for Zhejiang Province sci-tech progress at the provincial and ministerial levels, two 1^stprizes at departmental level (top 2), and three bureau-level prizes (top 1);

Used to participate in the compilation of national pharmacopoeia “Clinical Guide to the Chinese Pharmacopoeia – Chinese Medicine Volume”, 2005 Edition and 2010 Edition;

Has obtained 1 national license for health products which were developed under his leadership, and 2 national clinical approvals in response to pharmacological and toxicological studies of six new Chinese medicines previously conducted by him and his colleagues;

Has compiled two textbooks or monographs for national Chinese medical colleges and universities as assistant chief, and participated in the compilation of 7 books;

Has trained 16 masters majoring in Chinese herbology and now is mentoring 24 graduate students in the same field.
