Graduated from the Department of Clinical Medicine, Medical School, Zhejiang Medical University in 1984 and later in 1996 gained the master’s degree in internal medicine (cardiovascular diseases) from the same university;

Currently serves as president and deputy party secretary of Zhejiang Hospital, and responsible person of Zhejiang Important Specialty “Critical Care Medicine”, Zhejiang Important Discipline “Geriatrics”, the provincial specialty “IWCM and Severe Infection” and provincial key lab of Geriatrics;

Is a Tier-2 target trainee in accordance with Zhejiang New Century 151 Talent Program and a target trainee of Zhejiang 1^stInnovative Talents in Medicine and Health, and in 2009 was given the Zhejiang Accomplished Physician Award;

Holds concurrent posts as deputy director of CMA Critical Care Medicine Subcommittee, director of ZJMA Critical Care Subcommittee, director of Zhejiang ICU Quality Control Center, and candidate director of ZJP ATCM Geriatrics Subcommittee.

Engages in the clinical, research and teaching work of cardiovascular medicine and critical care medicine; has accumulated a wealth of experience in rescue of critically ill patients and the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases after long-term clinical work;

Has participated in and completed some national tasks and acted as head of 3 sub-tasks of them, chaired and completed a dozen of departmental and above tasks; currently has undertaken 4 research tasks, one from National Natural Science Foundation of China, one from Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, one provincial-ministerial joint construction project, and one SATCM key task, of which the research achievements have won 4 Zhejiang Science and Technology prizes and 7 prizes for Zhejiang Scientific and Technological Innovation in the Field of Medicine and Health, with a total fund available amounting to RMB 2.17 million;

Has published more than 60 papers and completed the compilation of 2 books as chief editor and another 8 books as assistant editor/editor;

Has trained 9 MMs and is mentoring 2 doctoral candidates and 6 graduate candidates.
