Graduated from ZJ CMU with a bachelor’s degree in 1983, and later gained the master’s degree in medicine from Zhejiang Medical University in 1995;

Currently serves as director of Medical Oncology Division in the No.1 Hospital Affiliated to ZJ CMU (i.e. Zhejiang TCM Hospital), leader of TCM Oncology under National Important Specialties/Disciplines Program, leader of Integrative Western and Chinese Medicine-based Oncology under Zhejiang Important Disciplines Program, and a Distinguished TCM Practitioner in Zhejiang Province;

Holds concurrent posts as deputy director of Oncology Subcommittee of CMDA Integrative Western and Chinese Clinical Medicine Branch, executive director of WFCMS Oncology Subcommittee, deputy director of CARACTM Oncology Subcommittee, member of CSCO committee, CGOS committee, and ASCO committee, member of the board of ZJ AIWCM and director of ZJ AIWCAM Oncology Subcommittee, member of the board of Zhejiang Medical Association and deputy director of ZJMA Oncology Subcommittee, and member of the board of Zhejiang Anti-cancer Association and deputy director of ZACA Chemotherapy Subcommittee;

Is engaged in clinical, research and teaching work regarding the tumor treatment with integrative western and Chinese medicine, and has made pioneering achievements with respect to the research of timing and patterns in treating tumor with integrative western and Chinese medicine, the basic and clinical research of the integrative treatment of Chinese medicine, chemotherapy, and biological therapy, the TCM syndrome patterns of patients with tumors and the basics, and multi-drugs and drug resistance of anti-tumor TCMs;

Has taken charge of 8 projects and tasks from SATCM, Zhejiang Natural Science Foundation, the Department of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province, and Zhejiang Provincial Administration of TCM, for which a number of awards and prizes were given for his research achievements, and has been granted a total research fund of RMB 1.2 million and another financial aid of RMB 3.9 million for the construction of national important discipline;

Has published more than 80 papers, completed the compilation of “The Treatment ofMalignant Tumor with Integrative Western and Chinese Medicine” and “The Integrative Treatment of Malignant Tumor and Its Complications with Western and Chinese Medicine” as chief editor, and participated in the compilation of 7 monographs as editor and/or associate editor;

Has trained 9 MDs and 34 MMs, and is now mentoring 3 doctoral candidates and 11 graduate candidates.
