Graduated from the Third Military Medical University in 1982, gained the doctor’s degree in digestive medicine in 1993, and took a refresher course of Digestive Endoscopy in the United States in 2001;

Has more than two decades of medical, teaching and research experience in the Whole Army Digestive Disease Research Institute affiliated to the Southwest Hospital of the Third Military Medical University; and later be relocated to the current hospital in October 2004 from the military hospital through a talent introduction scheme;

Used to serve as deputy director, professor and chief physician of the Third Military Medical University and its Southwest Hospital, as well as chair of Chongqing Medical Association Digestive Endoscopy Subcommittee;

Currently holds posts of director for the Digestive Medicine of the People’s Hospital of Zhejiang Province, director for the MoH Digestive Endoscopy Diagnosis and Treatment Techniques Training base, deputy director of Zhejiang Endoscopy (Laparoscopy) Quality Control Center, member of CMA Digestive Endoscopy Branch Colonoscopy Group, member of CACA Hepatocellular Carcinoma Subcommittee, and deputy director of ZJMA Digestive Endoscopy Subcommittee, as well as editorial board member for World Chinese Journal of Digestology and member of NSFC review panel

Has chaired 2 NSFC tasks, 3 provincial and ministerial tasks, and a number of national, military and local tasks;

These researches helped to win one 1^stprize, one 2^ndprize, and two 2rd prizes for provincial/ministerial scientific achievements.

In January 2008, was awarded the title of “Advanced Worker in National Health System” by the Ministry of Health.
