Graduated from Zhejiang Medical University with a master’s degree in hematology in 1984 and now is entitled to the special government allowance of the State Council; between 1994 and 1998, got enrolled in the University of New South Wales, Australia, and obtained a postdoctoral degree;

Currently serves as director of the Institute of Hematology, SATCM Key Laboratory and Level-3 Laboratory respectively, leader of doctoral program, vice chairman of CIMAHematopathy Subcommittee and chairman of ZJ AIWCM Hematopathy Subcommittee;

(CIMA: China Integrative Medicine Association; ZJ AIWCM: Zhejiang Association of Integrative Western and Chinese Medicine)

Due to scientific achievements, has harvested 9 provincial and ministerial prizes, including one Zhejiang Government 1^stprize (which was the first prize granted in TCM research field in Zhejiang province), four 1^stprizes and four 2^ndprizes;

Has undertaken 17 national and provincial tasks, 2 international cooperation tasks, 1 “11^thFive-Year Plan” Major New Drug Development task, and 3 National Natural Science Foundation projects, with the research funding and academic construction funding amounting to RMB 5 million and RMB 3.35 million respectively;

At present, takes up the development task of Chinese Category-5 new medicine “Pai-da-neng” capsule, which is used to treat several kinds of cytopenia diseases, and has succeeded in getting 2 approvals for new medicine clinical trials from CFDA (China Food and Drug Administration);

Has carried out an international cooperation with the University of New South Wales, Australia for 17 years, during which over 20 researchers were invited to do the research and trainings in Australia while 15 Australian researchers came to China for training and coaching; because of the highly praised lecture addressed to Australian peers upon invitation, once was elected as a Precursor in National Health Affairs and an Outstanding Returnee in Colleges and Universities in Zhejiang Province;

Has published more than 60 papers, of which 6 are cited by SCI and 39 are regarded as national quality paper;

Has trained 7 MDs and 24 MMs.
