Graduated from Zhejiang Chinese Medicine University in 1982 as a bachelor and later gained master’s degree (Acupuncture and Massage) and doctor’s degree (Chinese Internal Medicine) respectively;

Used to serve as vice-president of School of Clinical Medicine - III, ZJ CMU and vice president of No.3 Hospital affiliated to ZJ CMU (i.e. Zhongshan Hospital); now acts as president of School of International Education and chief of Foreign Affairs Section in ZJ CMU, responsible person for key specialties of encephalopathy and Vertigo in ZJ CMU, and a distinguished teacher in Zhejiang Province;

Holds concurrent posts as member of the Board of CAAM Meridians and Acupuncture Points Branch, member of CAAM Encephalopathy Subcommittee, and executive director and secretary-general of CAAM (CAAM: China Association for Acupuncture and Moxibustion);

Has nearly 30 years of experience in acupuncture teaching, research and clinical works, with a focus on the basic and clinical research of acupuncture therapy for encephalopathy;

Has undertaken 1 National “973” Planning Program sub-task and 5 provincial and ministerial tasks, achievements of which helped to win four provincial and ministerial prizes (1^stand 2^ndprizes) and two departmental prizes (1^stprize);

Has published more than 50 dissertations, accomplished the edit and compilation of 18 works as a chief editor and/or participating editor;

Has trained 16 masters and now is mentoring 2 doctoral candidates and 15 graduate candidates.
