Graduated from the Department of Chinese Medicine, Zhejiang Chinese Medical College (former of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University) in July 1985 as a bachelor and later gained the master’s degree in traumatology and Orthopaedics;

Currently serves as dean of the School of Clinical Medicine –III, ZJ CMU, president and party secretary of the No.3 Affiliated Hospital, and doctoral supervisor, as well as leader of two Zhejiang Chinese Medicine Priority Subjects – “Prevention and Treatment of Osteoporosis and Chronic Lumbocrural Pain with Chinese Medicine”;

Also hold concurrent posts as executive member of the board of Zhejiang Association of Rehabilitation Medicine and of Zhejiang Association of Acupuncture-Moxibustion, member of Zhejiang Association of Chinese Medicine Orthopedics Subcommittee, and deputy member of ZACM Needle-knife Subcommittee;

Has long been engaged in the clinical care, education and research of traumatology and orthopaedics of TCM and rehabilitation medicine, with a focus on the research of prevention and treatment of osteoporosis with Chinese medicine and the clinical and experimental research of Chinese medicine and osteopathic manipulation treatment on cervical diseases, lumbar disc herniation and their related diseases;

At present, is chairing tasks granted by Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, Zhejiang Province Chinese Medicine Priority Fund Projects and Zhejiang Province Priority Subjects, one from each;

Tasks and projects that have been completed under his leadership have own one prize of the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province for sci-tech achievement (ranked first) and five departmental and bureau-level prizes for sci-tech achievements;

Has compiled one publication “Treatment of Lumbar Disc Herniation with Chinese Medicine” as chief editor, and two publications on traumatology and orthopaedics of TCM and one textbook on rehabilitation as assistant editor;

Has published nearly 30 academic articles.
