Graduated from Zhejiang Chinese Medical College in March 1982 with a bachelor’s degree and received the title of professor in November 2003;

Currently serves as deputy dean of the School of Basic Medical Sciences, ZJCMU and member of ZJCMU Teaching Committee;

Also hold concurrent posts as director of both the Needle-knife Subcommittee and Medical History Subcommittee of Zhejiang Province Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, standing director of Needle-knife Subcommittee of both the Chinese Medical Association and the World Federation of Chinese Medical Societies, member of the board of Chinese Medical Association Medical History and Literature Subcommittee, one of the 3^rdColleges and Universities Distinguished Instructors of Zhejiang, and deputy director of China Academic Committee of Minimally-invasive Medical Professions of Encephalopathy;

With a focus on the research of treatment methods and formulas for refractory diseases based upon Chinese medicine clinical foundation and the research of Chinese medicine minimally-invasive procedures, has been engaged in the career in traditional Chinese medicine for more than 30 years and accumulated a wealth of experience in the prevention, treatment and care of modern rheumatic diseases, sequelas of apoplexy, osteoarthritis, chronic ulcerative colitis, cervical spondylosis, and lumbar disc herniation;

Has chaired four national continuing education program projects, 3 provincial/ministerial tasks, 6 departmental/bureau-level projects, and 1 horizontal task; and has gained the production approval for “Tai Zhi Huang” yellow rice-wine that was developed by him, and 3 provincial/ministerial prizes for sci-tech achievements and two 2^nddepartmental prizes for sci-tech achievements;

Has published 30 articles and created 8 monographs including “Minimally Invasive Chinese Medicine”, “Methodology and Techniques of Needle-knife Medical Science”, “Selected Readings of Traditional Chinese Medicine Classics on Traumatology and Orthopedics”, “ ‘Wo Ling Materia Medica’ Collated and Annotated Edition”, “‘Zhang Cigong’s Materia Medica’ Collated and Annotated Edition”, and “Chinese Medicine Heath Care for Sequela of Apoplexy”; and

Has trained 7 masters and now is mentoring 1 doctoral candidate and 3 master students.
