Graduated from Zhejiang Chinese Medical College in 1977 with a bachelor’s degree in Chinese medicine; took apprenticeship to Ji-sun YANG, a Prestigious Chinese Medicine Practitioner of Zhejiang Province between 1983 and 1988 and gained the Award of Achievement in TCM Inheritance; consolidated and summarized the academic experience of Chinese Internal Medicine clinical Practitioner Ji-sun YANG (who was awarded the title of First Five Hundred National Prestigious Chinese Medicine Practitioners) between 1990 and 1994; and in 1995, gained the Certificate of Apprenticeship Completion in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing; Now is one of the 4thNational Instructors for Academic and Experience Inheritance from Prestigious Senior Chinese Medicine Specialists, National Distinguished Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Distinguished Chinese Medicine Practitioner of Zhejiang Province, director of Cardre Ward of Zhejiang TCM Hospital, chief physician (TCM), professor, doctoral supervisor, researcher, and leader of priority subject “Geriatrics” of Zhejiang TCM Hospital; Also holds concurrent posts as member of China Association of Integrative Medicine Geriatrics Subcommittee, director of Zhejiang Association of Integrative Medicine Geriatrics Subcommittee, and deputy director of Zhejiang Medical Association Geriatrics Subcommittee; Specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases (coronary heart disease, hypertension, cerebra infarction), digestive diseases (fatty liver, hepatobiliary and pancreatic gastrointestinal diseases), diabetes, obesity, post-tumor-resectionrecuperative medical care, intestinal obstruction, intestinal adhesion and other refractory diseases with integrative western-Chinese medicine, as well as the differentiation and treatment of illnesses characterized by wet, hot, stasis, and stubborn features and the prescription of winter cream formulae; Proposed the idea of “seeking the root and regulating the blood” for the treatment of hypertension and interpreted the “five-organ accumulation” theory towards the treatment of fatty liver, hyperlipidemia, obesity and metabolic syndrome in a creative way, of which these research achievements were awarded the 2ndNational Prize for Sci-Tech Progress by the State Council, the 1stPrize of Science and Technology by the China Association of Integrative Medicine, the 2ndand 3rd Prizes of Sci-Tech Progress of Zhejiang Province by the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, and a number of departmental and bureau-level prizes and awards, totaling more than 20; Have published more than 100 academic articles; Has chaired 6 research tasks and projects funded by Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province and the departments and bureaus of Zhejiang government sector, and participated in 3 tasks funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China and SATCM; Has published more than 20 medical monographs as chief editor, such as theEssence of Ji-sun YANG’s Clinical PracticesandTable Foods Good for Health Care of Cardio-Cerebral-Vessels, or as the sole author, such asChinese Medicine Clinical Practitioner: Ji-sun YANGand Ji-sun YANG’s Experiences in Treatment ofSenile Diseases, or as assistant editor/editor; Has trained 1 doctoral student as her academic heir and 21 masters and now is mentoring another 1 doctoral candidate and 1 graduate candidate for academic inheritance as well as 7 full-time master students. |
