Graduated from Zhejiang Chinese Medical University with a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Medicine in 1983;

Is an academic leader of national priority specialty (Pulmonary disease of Chinese Medicine), one of National 4^thInstructors for the Academic and Experience Inheritance from Senior Chinese Medicine Specialists, and Distinguished Chinese Physician of Zhejiang Province;

Also holds concurrent posts as deputy director of China Association of Integrative Medicine Respiratory Disease Subcommittee, member of the 4^thBoard of China Association of Chinese Medicine (CACM), executive director of CACM Internal Medicine Subcommittee, executive director of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies Respiratory Diseases Subcommittee, executive director of both Zhejiang Province Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ZJPATCM) and Zhejiang Association of Integrative Medicine (ZJAIM), director of ZJPATCM Internal Medicine Subcommittee, director of ZJAIM Respiratory Diseases Subcommittee, deputy director of Zhejiang Medical Association Respiratory Diseases Subcommittee, and member of Zhejiang Anticancer Association;

Is mainly engaged in the teaching, research and clinical work of Chinese internal medicine; has a wealth of clinical experience regarding to respiratory diseases such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, chronic cough, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer and influenza; and has conducted researches including “Treatment of winter diseases (i.e. chronicpulmonary system diseases) in summer”, “Augment of TCM drugs during asthma-stage treatment”, and “Prevention and treatment of pulmonary fibrosis and influenza with TCM drugs”;

Has chaired 1 task funded by National “11^thFive-Year Plan” Support Program, 3 provincial/ministerial tasks, and several other departmental/ bureau-level tasks, with a research fund totaling to RMB 2 million, in addition to another fund of RMB 200,000 for the Construction of Top Priority Subjects of Zhejiang Province;

Achievements of these tasks have won more than 10 prizes, 2 of which were provincial/ministerial prizes;

Has published more than 50 articles and 3 monographs like “Clinical Medicine of Integrative Chinese-Western Medicine” as chief editor; and

Has completed the mentorship to 7 doctors and now is mentoring 4 doctoral students.
