Graduated from Zhejiang University of Technology in 1986 and completed the master program in the School of Pharmacy, Zhejiang University in 2003;

Currently serves as director of Chemistry Teaching and Research Section and Chemistry Laboratory of the School of Pharmacy, ZJ CMU, one of Young and Middle-aged Subject Leaders in Colleges and Universities in Zhejiang Province, and director of provincial university key lab “TCM Standardization Research Lab”;

Holds concurrent posts as member of CACM Chinese Medicine Analysis Subcommittee, member of review panel for Science Technology Department of Zhejiang Province, instructor for visiting scholars in China, member of one of the second Zhejiang Province Priority Innovative Teams, i.e. Modern Chinese Medicine Preparations and Their Key Technologies;

Serves as instructor for undergraduates majoring in Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy and for graduate and doctoral students who take up courses including the Analysis of Chinese Medicine Preparations, the Drug Analysis, the Analytical Chemistry, the Instrumental Analysis, and Modern Chromatographic Analysis;

Has long been engaged in Chinese medicine analysis and quality control and the research of Chinese medicine pharmacodynamic Material Bases and New TCM Drug Development; specializes in the application of modern analytical methods and techniques such as HPLC, GC, NMR, and MS to Chinese medicine research;

In recent years, has chaired a dozen of provincial, ministerial, departmental and bureau-level tasks and projects such as those from Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province and Science Technology Department of Zhejiang Province;

Has published more than 20 papers on influential journals;

Used to act as chief editor, assistant editor and/or editorial board member for MoH “12^thFive-Year Plan” and “11^thFive-Year Plan” National Planning Textbooks of TCM, such as Analysis of Chinese Medicine Preparations and Instrumental Analysis;

Has trained 6 masters and now is mentoring 7 graduate candidates and 1 doctoral candidate.
