Graduated from Heilongjiang University of Chinese medicine (formerly Helongjiang College of Chinese Medicine) with a bachelor’s degree in 1988, gained the master’s degree in 1995 from Shengyang Pharmaceutical University and the doctor’s degree in 2000 from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine;

Currently serves as the dean of the School of Pharmacy, ZJ CMU, priority target trainee of Zhejiang New Century 151 Talent Program and one of the first High-level Innovative Target Trainees for Health of Zhejiang Province;

As well as leader of the Chinese Medicine Pharmaceutics specialty under SATCM Priority Specialties/Disciplines Program; director of SATCM Chinese Medicine Level-III Research Lab; research leader of the Chinese Medicine Pharmaceutics specialty under Zhejiang Colleges and Universities “Top Priority” Specialties/Disciplines Program; academic leader of the Research and Innovative Team of Modern Chinese Medicine Preparations and Their Key Technologies under Zhejiang Priority Sci-Tech Innovation Teams Program; responsible person for Chinese Medicine Specialty under MoE College and University Specialties Program; responsible person of Zhejiang Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Pharmacy; responsible person of a priority specialty with respect to pharmaceutics in Zhejiang Province; and responsible person of the top-quality course “Chinese Medicine Pharmaceutics”;

Has long been engaged in teaching, research and new product development in the field of Chinese medicine pharmaceutics;

Currently the focus of research is directed to: The research of new drug delivery system and TDDS, The research of new drug types and new technologies, and The material basis for and quality control assessment of the effects of Chinese herb compounds;

In recent years, has chaired 3 NSFC tasks and participated in 5 NSFC tasks; and has chaired 1 MoE Doctoral Station Fund task and 1 Outstanding Young Team Project task under Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province;

Has published more than 60 academic papers (16 of which are cited by SCI), and won one 2^ndprize for Zhejiang Sci-Tech Progress (ranked 1^st), one 2^ndprize for Zhejiang Sci-Tech Innovation in the Field of TCM (ranked 1^st), and one 2^ndprize for National Teaching Achievements (ranked 5^th);

Used to be the chief editor of the textbook “Pharmacy”(a New Century Planning Textbook for Departments and Schools of TCM in Colleges and Universities Nationwide) and of the textbook “Chinese Medicine Pharmaceutics” (a MoH “12^thFive-Year” Planning Textbook for Chinese Medicine Specialty in Colleges and Universities Nationwide and a Planning Textbook of Seminar Regarding the Construction of National Higher Education Medical Textbooks), and has compiled 11 works;

Has gained 4 patents and 3 licenses for new drugs;

Has trained 2 doctors and 24 masters and now is mentoring 1 postdoctoral student, 3 doctoral candidates and 20 graduate candidates.
