Dapeng LI (1950.1.17-), academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, deputy to National People’s Congress, and TCM pharmaceutical researcher;

Was born in Yongjia County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, graduted from the Department of Pharmacy, the No.1 Medical College of Shanghai (now the School of Pharmacy, Fudan University);

Currently serves as professor and doctoral supervisor of ZJ CMU and holds concurrent posts as vice president of China Association of Chinese Medicine and China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine respectively and executive director of Chinese Anti-Cancer Association;

Has more than 30 years of experience in research of Chinese medicine pharmaceutical engineering innovation, and has chaired 13 national sci-tech development tasks;

In his earlier years, discovered and successfully extracted and separated out new anti-cancer compounds from semen coicis (a Chinese medicine herb), for which a patent for invention was granted and which consequently motivated the creativity in TCM researches, and took the lead in creating a platform for Chinese medicine intravenous emulsion technology and succeeded in developing a new anti-cancer drug injection “KLT”; in recent years, has built a platform for the application and industrialization of supercritical carbon dioxide extraction of active constituents from Chinese medicine, which was approved by SFDA for manufacturing; the successful transformation from research achievements into productive forces has resulted in huge economic and social benefits;

Used to and is named “The National Young and Middle-aged Star of Medical Sci-Tech”, “National Model Worker in Chinese Medicine System”, “National Distinguished Sci-Tech Worker”, and so on;

Has gained 25 patents for invention in drugs in China and U.S.A., and succeeded in developing 5 new drugs; and has obtained one 2^ndand one 3^rdprize for National Technology Invention, one 2rd prize for National Sci-Tech Progress, and four 1^stprize at provincial/ministerial level;

Has written more than 30 academic papers and monographs;

Has trained 1 doctor and 6 masters.
