Jianming CHEN, Communist Party member, graduated from the Second Military Medical University with a bachelor’s degree and later gained the master’s and doctor’s degree from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University;

Currently serves as professor and doctoral supervisor of the Second Military Medical University with a dual role as director of the 2^ndMMU Tasly Research Center for Modern Pharmaceutical Preparation;

Also serves as vice president of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, adjunct professor of ZJ CMU, and director of Chinese Medicine Processing Tech Research Center;

Is mainly engaged in the research of new types of drug preparation and new technologies, with a research focus directed to the injection formulation of poorly soluble drugs and the preparation of targeted medicine, and has rich theoretical and practical experience with respect to intravenous lip emulsion development;

Has completed a number of national foundation tasks and Shanghai Science AND Technology Commission foundation tasks as well as some other cooperation projects with businesses;

Has published over 40 papers on national and international journals, such as Biomaterials, International Journal of Pharmaceutics, and Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica; filed more than 20 patent applications at home and abroad, some of which have been granted the patent; and has obtained the 1^stprize for Shanghai Invention, Creation and Patent and one 3^rdprize for Military Scientific and Technological Progress;

Among MMs that have received his mentoring in their pursuit of master’s degree, one was awarded the title of “2010 Shanghai Outstanding Master” and one gained the title of “2011 Whole-Army Outstanding Master”.
